Submission instructions
Program submission
Registered participants must submit their program no later than May 31, 2013 . The program must be sent by e-mail to the address: icip.iif.contest@gmail.com . The program files must be packed in a .zip or .tar.gz archive.
The programs must conform to the input/output conventions described in the documentation provided with the training dataset. The authors should also indicate on which operating system their program has to be run (choosing among Linux, Mac OS X and Windows; for other operating systems please contact the organizers). Any non standard files required to run the program (e.g. DLLs, Matlab Compiler Runtime, etc.) should be included in the submitted file.
Method description
A description of the proposed algorithm must be submitted no later than June 15, 2013 , according to the format that it is reported below. Also this description should be sent by e-mail to: icip.iif.contest@gmail.com .
The description is a one page document formatted according to the ICIP 2013 template and organized according to the following sections:
- Rationale of the method
- system architecture
- elements of originality
- pros and cons of the method
- Image preprocessing
- denoising
- intensity level normalization
- other...
- Feature extraction
- Features considered within the study
- feature selection, feature extraction, dimensionality reduction, feature normalization, …,
- final list of the adopted features
- Classification
- classification system
- training modality
- indicative complexity of the overall system for testing (theoretically in big O notation)
For each of the above 4 sections, there is an indicative limit of 1000 characters (including blanks) so that the overall description could fit one page in the ICIP format. Please, send us both the pdf and the source (doc, latex, ...) files. Finally, we ask you to provide information about whether you intend to publish the work and the venue.
